For the past few months, workers have been tearing down the walls surround many of Guangzhou’s public parks and replacing them with facing. This move by the Bureau of Forestry aims to improve the city’s appearance with better integrating the parks into the city landscape. In addition, five new public parks will be built this year ahead of the 16th Asian Games. They shall be located on Ersha Island, near Chigang Tower, near Pazhou Tower, in Tianhe Shougouling, and at the foot of Haixin TV tower.
